MOBILDEICH
Wagenhuber-Mobildeich is a certified mobile flood defence system used to protect against flood water up to 2.6m high.
During an emergency flood response, every second counts. Mobildeich is widely used across Europe to deliver faster, stronger and more efficient protection to help divert or contain flooding.
As an innovative alternative to sandbags, Mobildeich is made from robust PVC-coated polyester modules which are filled with mains or flood water.
Just 1,000 metres of Mobildeich saves 3,500 sandbags and can be deployed up to 128 times faster than a building sandbag dam.
Designed in Germany and manufactured in the UK by Structure-flex, Mobildeich is known as the world’s safest flood protection system.
Wagenhuber-Mobildeich is the first and only mobile flood protection system with VdS certification.
Features
Modules – the inside tubes are made of robust PVC-coated polyester and filled with water to provide a strong barrier against flood water
Mesh cover – the strong mesh shell encases the modules and holds them firmly in place against flood waters of up to 2.6m high
Sealing membrane – the tarpaulin acts as a flexible seal to keep the barrier stable, preventing water from getting underneath and lifting it

How does Mobildeich work?
The Mobildeich Flood Defence System consists of three main components:
A Two or three water filled tubes provide a strong barrier against rising and flowing flood water
B Reinforced net holds the tubes firmly together to provide a barrier from 45cm to 3.5m in height
C Unique patented membrane not only secures the tubes in place but uses the flood water’s own weight to hold the barrier firmly in place, even if breached by flood water
Quick to deploy in three simple steps
Rollout
transport Mobildeich using reel wheels or trolleys and roll it out along the flood protection zone
Connect and fill
simply connect a pump to the module and fill it with mains or flood water
Unfold membrane
lay the sheet on the floor in still or flowing water and it will seal itself to the ground thanks to the integrated weight chain
Completion
Now, the innovative Mobildeich flood defence system will stay firmly in place to help protect against rising flood water in any terrain.
What makes Mobildeich so effective?
Traditional water-filled flood barriers are prone to floating when flood waters exceed 70% of their height.
Mobildeich’s unique patented membrane uses the weight of flood water itself to further secure the barrier in place.
Mobildeich thus provides up to 40% more protection than standard barriers, with much greater dependability.
